Discovering Madagascar: Swimwear, Culture & Stunning Island Vibes

Swimwear, Culture & Stunning Island Vibes

On our TRAVALY trip to Madagascar, we explored the vibrant capital city of Antananarivo before heading to the breathtaking island of Nosy Be. Known as the perfect backdrop and an absolute dream for travel content creation, Nosy Be is a small island paradise with lush landscapes, beautiful beaches, and a welcoming local culture. Visiting during the low season meant fewer tourists, but we were blessed with great weather and ample space to create. We teamed up with amazing local creatives, especially Mendrike, a talented photographer who showed us the hidden gems of Nosy Be and nearby islands like Nosy Sakatia and Nosy Iranja. With crystal-clear blue waters, mesmerizing sandbanks, and peaceful surroundings, these islands offered the ideal setting for our Madagascar swimwear collection photo shoots.

Nosy Be is rich in culture and flavor, with Italian tourism influencing the area and Italian being one of the official languages spoken there. The food was incredible, and coconut rice quickly became a favorite. The island’s small size made it easy to explore and find stunning spots to capture our fashion pieces—like the moment I’m pictured jumping out of a boat, wearing our signature Madagascar swimwear. We also visited Nosy Komba, known for its lemurs and vibrant Malagasy culture. While less swimwear-friendly for photos, it offered valuable insight into the island’s history and traditions, deepening our connection to Madagascar’s spirit.

The striking colors of the Madagascar flag—red, green, and white—represent the country’s rich heritage and are beautifully blended in our swimwear and bag collections. Whether you’re traveling to Madagascar or proudly representing your roots, these colors offer everyday wear that’s both stylish and meaningful. We’re excited to continue expanding our Madagascar-inspired fashion and adding this incredible destination to our #travelwithTRAVALY favorites.
